NLP Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computational Linguistic Data Label/Data Annotator to play a pivotal role in the development of Language Models (LLMs) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms. In this position, you will be responsible for creating high-quality datasets essential for training and fine-tuning these models. Your work will directly impact the performance and accuracy of cutting-edge AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Data Annotation: Annotate and label large volumes of text, speech, or other linguistic data in accordance with project requirements and guidelines
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of labeled data through rigorous review and validation processes
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrate strong domain knowledge in linguistics, natural language processing (NLP), and data analysis to facilitate accurate annotations
- Tool Utilization: Utilize annotation tools and software to efficiently perform labeling tasks, while also suggesting improvements or new tool adoption as needed
- Data Collection: Collaborate with the data collection team to identify and gather relevant datasets for annotation
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation of the labeling process, including any challenges or ambiguities encountered
- Compliance: Adhere to data privacy and confidentiality standards, ensuring the ethical handling of sensitive information
- Feedback Loop: Provide constructive feedback and insights to the development team to enhance the quality of language models and algorithms
- Communication: Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to project stakeholders and team members
- Research: Stay updated on the latest developments in computational linguistics and ML to inform best practices for annotation
Candidate profile:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in linguistics, computational linguistics, or a related field
- Proficiency in multiple languages and a deep understanding of linguistic nuances
- Experience with data annotation and labeling tasks in a research or industry context
- Knowledge of NLP concepts, techniques, and tools
- Familiarity with data annotation software and tools
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
